Marcella <p><img src="/psp/image.axd?picture=2010%2f4%2fRockOn_Marcella-emeff2010.jpg" alt="" /></p> <p>To make this tag you need this tube, or one of your choice. You also need a nice scripty font and a block font. If you wish to use the same supplies as I did, you can find them <a href="/psp/file.axd?file=2010%2f4%2fRockOnSupplies.zip"><strong>here</strong></a>.</p> <p>Open your supplies and minimize them. <br />Open the tube.&nbsp;<br />Open a new image&nbsp;width 550 pixels and height 400 pixels, background white.<br />Copy and paste the tube to the new image.<br />Resize the tube to 75%.<br />Unsharp mask: Radius 2, Strebgth 30, Clipping 5, do not tick the box for luminance only.</p> <p>Selections-select all-float-defloat, expand selection 3 pixels<br />Add a new layer and move it below the tube layer.<br />Fill the new layer with white. Deselct.<br />Go back to your tube layer and merge down into the white layer.<br />You now have a white edge around your tube.</p> <p>Switch to your text tool<br />Choose the font Hard Rock, size 100.<br />Write the words Rock On, convert to raster layer.<br />Move the text layer below your tube layer and move it to the upper edge of the canvas (see my tag for preferences).</p> <p>Again with your text tool, this time in the font AngelicWar and the size 40, write your name and convert to raster layer.<br />Selections-select all-float-defloat, expand selection 3 pixels<br />Add a new layer and move it below the name layer.<br />Fill the new layer with white. Deselct.<br />Go back to your name layer and merge down into the white layer.<br />Your name will now have a white edge around it, just as the tube has.<br /><br />Make sure this layer is above the tube layer. <br />Move the name closer to the bottom of the canvas (again, see my tag for preferences).</p> <p>Add your signature and any copyright/credits needed.</p> <p>Go to your first text layer and add a drop shadow: Vertical 2, Horizontal 2, Opacity 50, Blur 2 and colour black.<br />Now go to your tube layer and add the same drop shadow, only change the blur to 12.<br />Finally add a drop shadow to your name, this time with the blur set to 8.</p> <p>(If you think the tag looks a little "empty", you can add a layer just above the background layer, fill it with a compimentary colour and apply a mask to it.)</p> <p>Hide your white background layer. Switch to your crop tool, snap crop to merged opaque to get rid of any excess area. <br />Unhide your background again and save as .jpg.</p> <p>I also made an avatar to go with my tag.</p> <p><img src="/psp/image.axd?picture=2010%2f4%2fRockOnAV_Marcella-emeff2010.jpg" alt="" /></p> <p>It's very easy to make one.</p> <p>Hide your name layer on the tag, then copy merged (ctrl+shift+C).<br />Open a new canvas, 120x120 pixels.<br />Paste the merged copy onto the new canvas.<br />Now you need to move the tag layer around until you like the pice of it that is inside the canvas area.<br />Again, with your crop tool, snap crop merged opaque. This will remove anything outside of the 120x120 pixels.<br />Add a new layer, selctions select all. Fill with black.
