Silver Banshee

Marcella Silver Banshee <pre style="text-align: center;"><img src="/psp/image.axd?picture=2011%2f2%2fSilverBanshee_Marcella-emeff2011.gif" alt="" /></pre> This tag is made in Paint Shop Pro 9, but will probably work in any version. It is my own idea, and any resemblance to other tuts is purely coincidental. Please read my and their TOU before you start. You will need a tube or an image of your choice. I'm using the art of <a href="http://candra.deviantart.com/journal/" target="_blank">[Candra]</a>. She is FTU but please read and follow <a href="http://candra.deviantart.com/journal/7014977/" target="_blank">[her TOU]</a> ! You will also need Mura Meister Copies and EyeCandy 4000 and a font of your choice. <ul> <li> Open a new image, 500x250 pixels, and fill with white. </li> <li> Copy your tube, paste it as new layer in your image. </li> <li> Add Muras Meister – Copies with these settings to the tube <img src="/psp/image.axd?picture=2011%2f2%2fmmeisterbanshee.JPG" alt="" /> </li> <li> Add Effects – Filters Unlimited – Lens Effects – Refractor 2 using the default setting. </li> <li> Lower opacity on this layer to 75% </li> <li> Add your tube again as a new layer </li> <li> Resize the tube to fit within the space of the tag and place where you see fit. </li> <li> Add a drop shadow with these settings <img src="/psp/image.axd?picture=2011%2f2%2fshadowbanshee.JPG" alt="" /> </li> <li> Repeat drop shadow with the same settings </li> <li> Open your text tool, set to vector and type your name (or what ever you want the tag to say). </li> <li> Convert your text to raster, then selections – select all – float – defloat and expand selection by 2 pixels. </li> <li>  Add a new layer below your text layer and fill the selection wth white. Deselect. </li> <li> Go back to your text layer and merge down. </li> <li> Add the same drop shadow as to your tube. Now you can move the text to where evere you like it to be in the tag. </li> <li> Now go back to your refractor layer (the layer you distorted). With your magic wand, select some  areas in the layer.  I selected those areas that were most white. </li> <li> Keeping the selection, copy this layer twice, so that you have 3 refracted layers in total. </li> <li> Close out the copied layers and highlight the original layer. </li> <li> Effects – Eye Candy 4000 – HSB Noise – with these settings. Click the random seed button once. <img src="/psp/image.axd?picture=2011%2f2%2fhsbnoisebanshee.JPG" alt="" /> </li> <li> Go to the first copied layer, add the effect again but remember to click the random seed button!  </li> <li> Repeat previous step but for the second copied layer. </li> <li> Deselect. </li> <li> Add a new layer above all your other layers. Select all. Fill the layer with a colour from your tube. Contract selection by 2 pixels, fill with white, contract by 1 pixel and fill again with the colour from your tube. Now contract 1 pixel and hit delete. Deselect. You now have a frame. </li> <li> Add credits and your watermark and save your tag. </li> <li> Time to animate! Open Animation Shop. </li> <li> Go back to PSP. Close out the copied layers again. Highlight the bottom layer of your tag, then Edit – copy merged. </li> <li> In AS, paste as new image. </li> <li> Back to PSP, close the original layer and open up the first copy layer.
